Worker Details

Morris and his wife Ros served in South Asia for a number of years. They are now based in Brisbane and Morris is the South Asia Team Leader. Through a partner NGO in South Asia, which is locally-led, the Baptist Mission Australia team is involved in running a wide range of development projects including fish farms, a vocational training centre and adult literacy groups. The team and local staff focus on bringing whole-of-life transformation. He visits South Asia several times a year to oversee projects and consult with staff. From the office in Brisbane, Morris coordinates the support of the projects, recruits staff, develops training materials and assists Baptist Mission Australia in staff development.

Good leadership and entrepreneurial vision is essential to ensuring that the team’s development projects can continue to support and empower a number of disadvantaged communities. Morris works hard to support the projects, bringing new ideas and initiatives to bring new life and hope to people desperately in need. He is encouraged to see large numbers of communities gaining amazing wholistic benefit from the work done through the projects and staff.
