Project Details

Rahab was established in Soi Patpong, the red-light area of Bangkok, in 1988 by the late Patricia Green to offer a future and a hope to the bar girls of Patpong.

In these two streets, over 4000 children and girls, work as prostitutes in the bars and strip clubs. This is just the tip of the iceberg. It is estimated that as many as 800,000 women and children are involved in the sex trade in Thailand. Some research suggests it is far higher.

The Rahab program reaches out to the bar girls through the

  • Rahab Beauty Salon
  • English classes
  • Bar visitation to Patpong
  • Girls are assisted into employment with making jewellery and crotchet toys or with opportunities in hairdressing, nail art and sewing schools.

For more information to buy products made by the girls visit www.rahabministriesthailand.org
