Project Details

Adam & Helane Ramsay (CMS), are part of a team planting a church in Chiba City, which is within commuting distance to the east of Tokyo.

Andrew Adams (Pioneers) serves with the Pioneers Japan Launch Team. This is a team undertaking a two-year intensive course in language and culture learning, character and ministry in a Japanese context.

Nathan & Tomoko Stewart serve with the Osaka Presbyterian Church, assisting the congregation in reaching their friends and neighbours, particularly through the establishment of English conversation clubs.

Japan is the largest unreached nation in the developed world. It has one of the highest literacy rates in the world, yet 95% of Japanese have never heard the gospel. One of the struggles faced by the church is that in a nation of 127 million people, the church is relatively small.

APWM works in partnership with the Presbyterian Church in Japan, and ‘Mission to the World’ (the overseas mission arm of the Presbyterian Church of America).
