Worker Details

Nicholas grew up in Adelaide before moving to Brisbane during high school. From an early age, he was drawn to aviation and technology, though he wasn’t sure how those interests would shape his future. After finishing school, he embarked on a mission trip to Uganda. Witnessing firsthand the communities being served — and the lasting impact of that work — stirred in him a desire to use his skills to make a difference.

Nicholas initially pursued computer programming at university but soon pivoted to aviation. While studying, he first encountered the work of Mission Aviation Fellowship, and the possibility of combining flying with mission began to take shape. However, his journey was not straightforward. Soon after beginning flight training in 2018, severe motion sickness forced him to step away. After several years of seeking answers and praying for direction, what he describes as a miracle enabled him to return to flight school in 2022. He completed his training in 2023.

God then led Nicholas to Indonesia, where he worked as a pilot across the country. In 2025, he sensed God’s calling to serve with MAF and is now preparing to join the team, using his skills to support isolated communities in Papua New Guinea.
