YWAM Outback is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Australia. Located in Darwin (Northern Territory), YWAM Outback was established in 1989.
Our passion is to see lives transformed and to release others to make a difference in the world.
YWAM Outback has regular involvement across our local community, our region in the north of Australia, and the nations of SE Asia.
Training through Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) and Mission Adventures, Indigenous and other cultural exchange, local community involvement through youth focused ministry, School ministry (Primary and High School) and more recently a refugee support ministry are those practical expressions of conveying hope and being part of the change.
YWAM Outback also actively supports ongoing work in Timor Leste through Australian Relief & Mercy Services with child sponsorship and the transfer of donations in kind - educational supplies and equipment, including clothing, books and toys.
The ministry work of YWAM falls into three main categories, evangelism, training and mercy ministries.
We are very enthusiastic about new ideas. We travel a lot. We are moved by people in need, and we do something about it. We don’t mind roughing it. We believe that God wants to have a living relationship with every one of us and we want to explore that deeply. We’re not in it for the money. We have discovered that faith in Jesus will take you to places you never dreamed of, to do things you never imagined, in ways you would never believe.
We are Youth With A Mission.
YWAM - Cost for those in full time ministry $25 per person per night, all others $30 per person per night. (Dorm style and double bed rooms)
