"A very accessible book in terms of how it is written ... It looks at persecution historically as well as the present time – and asks how believers should respond to persecution" (Ashley Saunders, CEO, Barnabus Fund Australia)

Peter Jasek

Peter Jasek visited Sudan in 2015 on behalf of Voice of the Martyrs to evaluate how the mission could help and encourage persecuted Christians in Sudan. Pleased with his meetings with local pastors and other Christians, Petr checked in for his flight home to the Czech Republic. He was questioned by security agents and later charged with espionage, waging war against the state and undermining the constitution, and sentenced to life in prison. Petr was persecuted by ISIS fighters he shared a cell with.

Now Petr shares the harrowing but inspiring story of how God sustained his strength and courage while giving him a new purpose during his ordeal – and then opened the prison doors and set him free.

I am N reminds us that we are each ‘N’ or ن – the Arabic letter radical Muslims use to identify followers of Jesus the Nazarene. Wherever we live, we have camaraderie with those who are persecuted.

NIk and his wife Ruth, decided to seek out believers in persecution, and learn from them. Hence, began the process of travelling the world interviewing hundreds of persecuted Christians.
