Medical mission teams serving the worlds’ poor through provision of medical care, medicines & reading glasses and health education.
GAiN regularly sends short-term medical mission teams to parts of Asia including India, Cambodia and the Philippines. The teams consist of volunteers, doctors and other healthcare professionals. Through these projects, people in remote areas are provided access to general medicine, minor surgery, dentistry, optometry and health education.
But it doesn’t just stop there. Our medical missions provide opportunities for our partners to introduce people to the love of Jesus and connect them to local churches and believers. Assisting with the practical needs of people during the medical clinics opens doors for people to hear and respond to the Gospel and allows us to pray with them and run bible based activities for their children. We have the privilege of seeing thousands of lives changed physically and spiritually with new churches being planted as a result.
This wouldn’t be possible without YOUR help. You don’t have to have any experience in a medical background to be a volunteer on one of our mission trips. All you need is a willingness to serve humbly and an open heart to see God at work. We need volunteers who can help with translation, children’s ministry, crowd control, counselling and general administration, as well as medically trained volunteers such as nurses, doctors, pharmacists, optometrists and dentists.
So would you prayerfully consider how you can use your gifts, passion or finances to contribute to the work God is doing through GAiN?
